Motorists Targeted By New DVLA Scam Emails.

Fraudsters are reporting to be from the DVLA are asking motorists to verify their driving licence details via an online link to trick motorists into providing their personal details, which are then used by the fraudsters to gain access to bank accounts or used for identity theft.

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) said that it was aware motorists had been receiving emails wrongly claiming to be from the DVLA asking them to verify their driving licence details via an online link.

The email appears to be an attempt to trick drivers into providing personal details, the DVLA said, but added "[We] have not sent out an email asking customers to update or verify their details." Read the full story here... http://bit.ly/1vSsLAW
