Three-point turn could be dropped from driving test.

Government considers replacing 'turn in the road' manoeuvre with 'more realistic' skills, such as reversing out of parking bay, in learner driving test shake-up.

The dreaded three-point turn could become a thing of the past after the Government signalled the biggest shake-up to the driving test in 20 years.

Learners may be asked to use a satellite navigation system as part of a revised practical exam, while the three-point-turn - more recently known as the "turn in the road" - could be scrapped altogether.

Around 1,000 learner drivers across the UK will be asked to take part in a trial of new practical exam measures designed to "better reflect real-life driving". Read the full article here... http://bit.ly/1rAibO7
